I’m the kind of girl who watches Youtube beauty vloggers while my dog sits on my lap. During my quest to find the perfect brand of highlighter, I came across a video showing how some makeup companies use animals to test their make up on. To my horror I almost dropped my laptop- and my dog! I was so appalled to be using makeup brands that have been used on animals. So, I promised myself (and my dog) to use cruelty-free makeup from now on.  During my search I found several options that seem like they’re going to be a good fit and I wanted to share them with you!

Skin Care

If you’re finding it hard to ditch your products because you’re having trouble good quality animal friendly brands well stress no more. Recently I’ve started using Drunk Elephant C- Firma Day Serum, It’ll make your skin glow and have people asking you what’s your skin care secret.

A good makeup needs a good foundation, After I put my primer on I choose one from my two trusted brands, Glossier Skin Tint is my go-to foundation when I’m in a hurry, It’ll make your skin look 10 times better. But when I have a little extra time on my hands I use Tarte’s water based foundation, it is 100% cruelty-free.

Once I got my foundation on, I use Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer, it perfectly hides the evidence of staying up all night binge watching shows on Netflix.

Cheeks and Eyes

One day my friend who’s a vegan suggested I’d use Pure Powder Blush by Au Naturale, it is 100% vegan and cruelty free, and guess what? I haven’t stopped using it since, I use Pink Champagne, it gives my cheeks the right amount of pinkish glow to make look all happy and cheery when in fact I feel the exact opposite.

As for eyeshadow I use Too Faced, they are my favorite eye makeup brand, and their packaging is amazing. They have nicely pigmented shadows with a lot of palettes to choose from, Natural love and Sweet Peach are the shades I often use. I also love the better than sex mascara, well love is an understatement really because this mascara is simply awesome.

AS for lips, Au Naturale has stolen the vegan, cruelty free show again earlier. My faves range from Marrakesh: a warm pink nude to Salsa: red with orange undertones. You have different shades to choose from, and they are perfect with every look.

And there you have it, that’s basically all the stuff you can find in my makeup bag. I love supporting brands that don’t harm or test on animals. I found so many good quality products and the best part of this is you can still have beauty without the cruelty.
