Have you ever found yourself watching a YouTube tutorial or vlog and then suddenly jumping down the rabbit hole of watching 20 more related videos? So have I. And there are very few times I regret it. YouTube just has so much to offer. It is an incredible way to learn new skills like perfecting the smokey eye. It offers guided relaxation for when I am struggling to sleep. It is also a great way to keep up with news, music, celebrities, and influencers. I love YouTube and have a few favorite channels. Today I’m offering you some of the best channels to follow. Some of the channels are extremely well known and others are less so. They are all great and worth watching. Here are ten that you need to follow:

1. Patrick Starr

Patrick is one of the best if you love makeup! He has featured Katy Perry, the Kardashians, and other celebrities on his channel while doing their makeup. He is beautiful, funny, smart, and keeps you glued to the screen waiting to see what he says next. He can be unpredictable but in the best way. His Instagram is also one to follow. If nothing else, you’ll find some makeup inspiration for your next Saturday night out. He’s known for his bold lips.

2. James Charles

Okay, sister! James and his sister followers are on the up and coming. He just recently launched a beautiful palette with Morphe Cosmetics and his YouTube channel is on top right now. A definite channel worth following! James first rose to fame as a high school student with a beautiful yearbook photo that went viral. Then he signed a contract with CoverGirl. Now he’s offering us tutorials and house previews and I can’t put it down. I just keep playing it and you should too.

3. Shane Dawson

Shane is an author, musician, comedian, and has a channel you need to follow. While he started in sketch comedy, he is now best known for his conspiracy theories and mini docuseries. Most recently, his series The Mind of Jake Paul received over 100 million views.  Shane is reinventing the way entertainment is being done and the world is clearly watching.

4. Carli Bybel

Carli is also a beauty guru with quite the following. She offers tutorials, hauls, and videos inviting people to “follow her around” where she offers a glimpse into her personal life. Carli is from New Jersey and definitely worth subscribing to.

5. Fitness Blender

Fitness Blender is for you if you are looking for inspiration for working out. Kelli and Daniel, a married couple who are both personal trainers, offer free exercise videos! You don’t have to go to the gym and you don’t have to subscribe to an expensive workout program. You can simply pull up the Fitness Blender YouTube and have an incredible workout. They also offer meal plans, health information, and nutrition information. Talk about the complete package from a YouTube channel. Your health is important! Following this channel is a great idea.

6. Tasty

Tasty is so fun if you love to cook or bake! These are quick video clips that show you how everything yummy is made! From how to make Meatless burritos to sangria, you will find everything you need to host your next dinner party! If you’re anything like me you may find yourself watching all of the videos they have on their channel.

7. Jeffree Star

It’s hard to talk about YouTube right now without mentioning Jeffree and his pomeranians. He isn’t one to shy away from drama or controversy, but he will give you some serious entertainment if you tune in. Who remembers the Kat Von D breakup? Anyways, Jeffree’s channel is so popular right now and you’re always going to learn about makeup, clothing, technology, and hair if you subscribe.

8. Dolan Twins

Ethan and Grayson Dolan are a popular comedy duo who were just recently featured on Jeffree’s channel, actually. They’re recently back on YouTube after taking some time off due to the death of their father.

9. Emma Chamberlain

Emma is arguably taking over YouTube! Since just 2016, she has had 590,946,619 views and found herself friends with some of the greatest including the Dolan Twins and James Charles. I love that she’s honest about her anxiety and stays true to herself while also offering funny and relatable content! And she was born in 2001 so she’s only just getting started!

10. Tana Mongeau

Tana’s has been pushing boundaries for the last few years in many different ways. By boycotting VidCon to being in an open relationship with Bella Thorne until recently and even taking a lie-detector test on camera, she’s pushing the envelope a bit and I’m here for it.

Okay, so what are you doing to watch next? This list is enough to keep you busy for a while. There’s something for everyone. There’s comedy, beauty, tutorials, lifestyle, mental health, and documentaries. Maybe you too will find yourself down the YouTube channel rabbit hole.  Make sure you have your favorite snack and drink with you.
