The Best Apps To Make Friends In 2021
2020 has been a lonely time for a lot of us. A time where it’s very possible that already lonely people became more lonely. Now more than ever it feels important to aknowledge the need for more human connection. Our hope is that this list of friend finder apps might be able to help. So if you’ve been trying to figure out how to meet new people and make new friends, then definitely download one of these apps and start swiping.
Bumble BFF
Bumble BFF is number one on our list of apps to find friends. It’s the same concept as the original Bumble app, but created to find friends intead of romantic partners. You make a profile with photos and a short bio, as you would for Bumble, and you swipe left or right on potential matches. The big difference between the apps is that for Bumble BFF, starting a conversation isn’t gendered, so it can be on either person to make the first move before the match expires. I just tried Bumble BFF (year 2) and I had a decent handful of matches within 30 miles. This time last year I literally had none, so this is definitely the easiest app to find a friend in my reigion. This is a problem with every friendship app I’ve tried. I assume that living in a larger area this app will still provide you with the most matches.

Meetup
Meetup is getting spot two this year because of its age, the number of people signed up and the ability to find friends through meetups. This has the same issue as other apps through since smaller rural areas don’t have the same options for meeting up.Meet up is an app based on attending events, rather than meeting people. But the two definitely go hand-in-hand. Chances are, if you attend events, join a local club or class of your interest, you will meet people that you can build a friendship with! The number of events and activities the app covers is impressive. Many of the events are free, although some charge for attendance. The freemium app costs nothing if you plan to attend Meetup events, but if you want to organize your own, you’ll have to start paying $9.99 a month.
